The Curb-Sider lift is electrically powered from the vehicle's battery. Simply press a button on the hand-held controller and the Curb-Sider SXL raises and lowers your power base or power chair. Bruno's Curb-Sider SXL provides up to 180° of powered rotation, which makes it easy to raise and rotate a fully or partially assembled power base or power chair, weighing up to 400 lbs. from the curb at the side of your vehicle, or directly behind it. The Curb-Sider SXL gives you the convenience you need to transport your power base and the freedom to travel when and where you like. The Bruno Curb-Sider SXL was designed to fit most types of full sized vans, as well as minivans, sport utility vehicles, station wagons and pick-up trucks. The SXL is equipped with a low profile lift arm with angle adjustment that allows the placement of larger power chairs or power bases in smaller vehicle openings. The installation does not require any structural modifications to your vehicle. A Custom Sub Base is recommended. This provides a neater and easier installation.
